Me and a couple of the fellas have an accountability WhatsApp chat (blame Goggins) and will clock in an average 25-50k each, each week, mostly road running with some trails and tree hugging when the sun's out.
We also like to tie one on at the weekends so, after drunkenly signing up for the Bergen city marathon in Norway I figured I should take a 16 week training plan a little more seriously.
After experimenting with various pre/during/post workout fuels I stumbled across 33 fuel thanks to the interwebs.
I took the chia running gels out for spin, found out they were effective and nowhere near as sweet and fruity as others on the market plus seeing as you mix the fluid in yourself with these gels there's the fun possibility of mixing/flavouring them with more than water (I have tried a coffee liqueur with great success and you can't judge me more than I already judge myself) anyway, when I ordered some more and figured I'd jump on the athletic greens as the talking heads on the interwebs were telling me to do that too.
Felt wicked and it tastes great in food when you launch it in an omelette pre workout or knock it back as a drink after (pineapple juice, honey and Tequila ftw- come at me!)
Obviously when I ordered some more I felt comfortable that the others would taste great so, jumped on the whole bundle and low and behold: the pre workout rocket fuel does exactly what it sets out to and whilst it's great before you set off you can also throw it in a bottle or bladder if you run with a back pack on.
Tasting notes say thanks to the pineapple this will make for an excellent pina colada whilst out during summertime trail season.
All in all, I throughly rate 33fuel for performance, versatility and price. Keep up the good work team.
Thanks! brilliant products so far
Great selection of products.
The ultimate greens are a great way to start the day.
The card drink doesn't taste amazing but it is easy to consume and is easy on the stomach.
The protein powder is tasty and again easy on the stomach. The fact that it's made from all natural products with no added nasties also makes it more appealing.
Great value for money. Found the protein and easy greens easy on the stomach. The energy drink is good, used on longer rides (2 hrs +) and runs (1.5hrs) and found I have plenty of fuel to finish. Have to shake it well to get it to mix well but that’s the only thing.
Great to be able to test out the whole range. The greens provide a morning kick, the energy drink has a subtle taste which doesn't become overpowering during training and workouts, finally the protein powder is a delicious recovery drink to look forward to after those hard sessions.
